The Leeds-Lancaster-Morecambe Railway passes through Shipley, Bingley and Skipton on its journey up the Aire Valley, diverging from the Settle-Carlisle Line at Settle junction. The line then travels across the Ribble valley before crossing the River Lune and passing through superb countryside to enter Carnforth. From Carnforth to Lancaster the line uses the West Coast Main Line, and the train reverses at Lancaster to travel to Bare Lane and Morecambe.
