Bentham Station

Class 8F hauling empty
stock to Hellifield
for a S&C special

Bentham station is conveniently sited near the centre of the town.

The station is unstaffed, and tickets are purchased on the train. The main station building dates from the 1950s; it is now largely disused, and there are hopes that it can be restored and used for community purposes. There is adequate free car parking, and level access to both platforms. There is a telephone to Settle Junction signal box for information about train running, and a card phone in the waiting shelter on the Leeds-bound platform for other calls.
